After many hours looking for a new supplier for our waste handling attachments, we decided to purchase a selector grab from McQuaid Engineering. The CM6000 hydraulic breaker (manufactured by McQuaid Engineering) was commissioned at Galmoy mine in September 2008. The unit has been in operation on a 24/7 shift rota, it’s primary duty is to break zinc and lead ore down to a manageable size to enter the operational jaw crusher. The CM6000 has proven itself to be an excellent machine which is user friendly and requires minimal maintenance. I would have no hesitation in recommending the CM6000 to any perspective buyer.

I’ve been using it for a number of different jobs since getting it. We’ve lifted timber for sawing, lifted scrap from an old house, lifted stones onto a wall and pulled down wind bushes. It’s great for lifting kerbs, it lifted five at a time! It’s a powerful job with stone walls too. With a digger bucket you’re dropping the stones and having to pick them up three or four times.
