Due to continued growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Welder. McQuaid Engineering work to high quality standards, including ISO 3834 and ISO 9001.


Job Title: Welder

Location: Dungannon, Co.Tyrone

Hours of Employment: Monday to Thursday 7am to 4.15pm and Friday 7am to 1.30pm

Salary: Negotiable


Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work within the welding team to ensure deadlines are met
  • Carry out quality control checks
  • Fabricate a range of assembly types, from basic to complex, to the required tolerances and specification
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Carry out any relevant training required
  • Involvement with product improvement and review of procedures
  • Adherence to Health and Safety Regulations


Experience & Skills

  • Must be time served and able to MIG weld to a high standard of various dimensions and types of metal
  • Ability to read engineering drawings & prepare assemblies understanding how the final product should look
  • Ability to see flaws in welds or structural imperfections in the metal
  • Previous experience of finishing operations
  • Ability to work to strict timeframes
  • Be a good team player and have the ability to use your own initiative
  • Experience in working to ISO 3834 standards or equivalent EN 1090
  • Welding certification to recognised standards would be desirable
